Over time Akura has gained considerable experience in the solid waste and recycling industry. We have found that there is some information that our customers regularly require and strive to make this information easily accessible.

QUESTIONS WE OFTEN ASK OUR CUSTOMERS

When you contact an Akura Sales Consultant or Service Manager it is very likely that you will be asked the following questions. Having the information available on hand will enable us to assist you faster and more effectively.

When purchasing a new machine

  • What is the aim of your waste processing?
  • How much product do you have? (weight and volume if available)
  • What infrastructure do you plan to use?
  • How much space do you have available?
  • What type of waste do you want to process?
  • What level of automation do you want in your system?
  • What is your budget?

When requesting the service, repair or refurbishment of equipment

  • What is the equipment serial number?
  • On behalf of which company or customer are you requesting our services?
  • What are the symptoms of the problem with your equipment? (Is it leaking oil? Is it not receiving power? Etc.)

When requesting spare parts or consumables for equipment

  • What is the equipment serial number?
  • On behalf of which company or customer are you requesting our services?
  • What quantities of which items do you require?

When requesting training for staff members

  • On which type or model of equipment does your staff require training?
  • On behalf of which company or customer are you requesting the training?
  • How many staff members do you wish to train?
  • To which level of certification do wish to train your staff?

QUESTIONS OFTEN ASKED BY OUR CUSTOMERS

Do I have to have a big budget?

No, at Akura we supply solutions for businesses of all sizes; we pride ourselves in providing a solution to satisfy your specific needs.

Do you work on non-Akura equipment?

Yes we work on and supply spares for non-Akura equipment, especially for the equipment of our international partners.

Do you refurbish old equipment?

Yes, refurbishing old equipment that can continue being used aligns with the Akura ethos of rethinking recycling and we gladly re-use all machine parts that can be sensibly recovered.

Do you supply spares?

Yes, Akura keeps stock of all the basic spare and wear parts that our clients may require.

Do you supply bespoke equipment?

Yes, we aim to supply a solution for your needs. We will first attempt to find existing, proven equipment either from our Akupak range or our international partners, however if we cannot find a solution we will design it for you.

Do you provide emergency services?

Yes, our Akura service teams across the country will gladly assist should you have an emergency breakdown.

DEFINITIONS

*recyclate

Noun. (plural recyclates) Raw material sent to, and processed in, a waste recycling plant or materials recovery facility.

*bogie

Noun. (plural bogies) a low strongly built undercarriage with four or six wheels.

*hogger

Noun. (plural hoggers) A machine or tool that deforms waste material.

*powerpack

Noun. (plural powerpacks) A self-contained system consisting of a motor, fluid reservoir and pump. Used to generate power and drive machinery.
